Katie has been a lover of yoga and meditation for many years. She received her 200 hour yoga teaching certification in 2013 and since then, she has integrated the teachings into her personal life and classes. Since getting sober in January 2017, yoga has become one of the anchors of her recovery.

Katie found Recovery Yoga Meetings about ten months into sobriety and immediately felt at home. She completed RYM training in 2017 so she could share the healing power of RYM with others in the recovery community.

“I believe deeply that connecting with one’s breath, setting an intention and mindfully moving the body is transformative for not only recovery but overall health and wellbeing. I look forward to meeting you and having you in class!” - Katie

Lacie found yoga when she first started her recovery journey in 2012.  Since, she has experienced first hand that the path of recovery and the path of yoga are similar in that they both consist of constant learning and always making the commitment to do one’s best.  In 2015 she completed her RYT-200 hour training, and then an additional 300 hour training in Rishikesh, India.  In 2017 she decided to integrate her two passions, yoga and sobriety, by training in Recovery Yoga Meetings and became an RYM Certified Facilitator in 2020.

“I’m excited to share movement and recovery with others, by holding space that is gentle and non-judgmental, and encouraging people to mindfully move their bodies with curiosity.” - Lacie
